Tomato Experiment 2013: Proboscis Pallet Terrace  Problem I was trying to solve was to create self-watering tomato plants in my front driveway (the warmest part of my garden) using reservoir-based planters sourced at Urbanore.com several years ago. The fundamental idea for this came from Brian White and his inclined pallet as a means to create a self-watering vegetable bed. I integrated these self-watering pots I had from previous tomato growing years to come up with this 2013 experiement. Brian's inspiring solution is here: https://plus.google.com/u/1/101745701783888611061/posts (thanks Brian).  This is built around the "Airlift in a bucket" method described here: http://www.instructables.com/id/New-airlift-in-a-bucket-fountain-or-irrigation-t/.  Double-click to zoom, hover to see details, click for more (a sidebar will appear).
